A British man hopes to break the record of the world for the longest-running game of Minecraft.
Joe Kelly, of Cheltenham Joe Kelly from Cheltenham played the game for 35 hours 35 minutes and 35 seconds, raising PS1,800 to fund cancer research.
Martin Fornleitner, Austria, set the record for 24 hours and 10 minutes in 2011.
Minecraft involves building structures using blocks, exploring worlds , and taking part in battles.
The book has sold more than 54 million copies around the world.
Microsoft bought Mojang, the studio behind it, for $2.5bn (PS1.5bn) last year.
Mr. Kelly who owns a film company and is a voice actor, has played the game since it was launched in the year 2010. He usually plays just a few hours each week.
He stated to BBC that he could stay awake and alert without caffeine, and it wasn't a problem.
"There there were no stimulants other than for sugar and stubbornness."
Mr. TEEN Kelly, who live streamed the entire game via YouTube, added that the incident was a snare on his hands.
"My back and shoulders didn't hurt, nor did my shoulders hurt. The most problematic thing was my fingers.
"They hurt so badly just from being glued to the keyboard and mouse for so long.
"Every tiny break I took I was moving my fingers."
Mr Kelly and Sarah Vallance, his girlfriend are in the process to send evidence of their feat to Guinness World Records.
He has no plans to rest from the game.
"I introduced my girlfriend to Minecraft We usually play together," he said.
"It's something we love doing together. I'm not averse to gaming."
